Massive thanks goes to JV, via David Dye, for passing this artist my way. Dan Mangan is a twenty-seven year old singer/songwriter from the Vancouver area, and as of this morning, is aggressively improving my world. He's put out two full length albums, the most recent was Nice, Nice, Very Nice in 2010. He's a touring machine, and fortunately will be at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in July (see you there). Below are three tunes Mangan played at Edmonton's 95.7 The Sound last November (I may have just discovered that LeVar Burton works there!). The first of the three, Road Regrets, blew me away this morning. All three songs are well-written, and if you like Mumford & Sons or The Tallest Man on Earth then you'll love Dan Mangan.
